Central Force in classical Mechanics
In classical mechanics central force on an object is a force whose magnitude only depend on the distance object from the origin and is directed along the line joining them.
Mathematical form
`[\overrightarrow{F}=\overrightarrow{F}(\overrightarrow{r})=|\overrightarrow{r}|\hat{r}F]`
Example
Nuclear force with in nucleons depend upon the distance the distance is a central force.
Force Field is a central if and only if the field is spherically symmetric.
